The deadly canine distemper disease is once again in the news after 40 to 50 dogs were euthanized at the Memphis Animal Shelter in a desperate effort to stem the outbreak of distemper there. This happened on the weekend of 26/27th March 2011. More heartbreaking news is the fact that the remaining dogs at the shelter are facing the same fate.
